As per several reports, the new Kia Carens EV will retain its ICE platform and body shell, with enhanced safety and solid build quality similar to the new facelifted Seltos and Sonet models. Notable design upgrades include a new closed-off grille similar to the Kia EV9 and the EV6 models signifying its EV appeal.

It will also feature new front and rear bumpers with new alloy wheels giving it a sleeker and modern look. The new Carens EV will also offer a sneak peek of how the production-spec EV3 and the EV5 models will look.

2025 Kia Carens EV: Powertrain

The new Kia Carens EV will share its powertrain with the upcoming Creta EV. Both electric vehicles will be built on the same platform with minor updates and differences from the ICE-powered Seltos and Creta.

The Carens EV may offer a large 45-kWh battery pack and a front-mounted motor setup with FWD similar to the Kona EV in the global markets. This setup will offer increased range and better efficiency thanks to less drag and power loss to the motors. The Carens electric will offer a range of around 300 Km on a single charge.
