Hyundai is gearing up to launch its brand–new Hyundai Inster EV in India. This will be the smallest and the newest member in Hyundai’s EV lineup, offering good practicality with its compact design and impressive performance thanks to its brand-new EV platform. The Inster EV is designed to deliver compelling driving experience with its long range and will offer a smooth ride with maximum efficiency.
Design and Looks
The new Hyundai Inster EV is a compact EV designed for urban commutes offering good mobility for city traffic and India’s compact roads. It offers great versatility with its unique SUV-inspired design with bold appeal, higher ride height, and wheel arches giving it a rugged and sleek appeal to the car.
More design elements include new circuit board-style bumpers, skid plates, and a flush exterior. It features modern LED headlights with DRL, unique pixel-graphic turn signals, and LED taillights and more.
Performance, Range & Charging
The new Inster EV will come with two variants with different battery sizes, a 42kWh that makes 97 PS of power while the top-spec 49kWh battery pack that produces 115 PS of power. The EV will offer a range of 355 Km of range and an acceleration time from 0-100 Kmph in just 10.6 seconds. It also comes with DC fast charging and can charge from 10-80% in under 30 minutes.
Additional Features
The upcoming Hyundai Inster EV will offer impressive interior space, offering good flexibility for its size. It features an increased cargo space of up to 351 litres and can be extended to 1,059 litres with the seats folded down.
The interior also features a dual 10.25-inch digital display for the driver and infotainment. Additional features include walk-through access, ADAS, Blind-spot View Monitor, Surround View Monitor, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Cruise Control and more.
India Launch & Price
The upcoming Hyundai Inster EV will come at an expected price of around Rs.10 – Rs. 12 lakh in India for the top-end variant. The EV will debut in Korea during the summer of 2024 and will further launch in more countries. According to several reports, Hyundai Inster EV’s India launch is set to happen in June 2026.
