Mahindra, India’s renowned automaker is gearing up to launch its new range of electric vehicles in India to boost its presence in India. To compete with Tata Motors, MG, Kia, and Hyundai, Mahindra will launch a range of electric vehicles in the country’s evolving electric vehicle space. Apart from its newly-introduced XUV400 EV, the automaker is all set to launch its flagship electric cars catering to various customer needs. 1. Mahindra XUV.e8
Mahindra will begin its electric lineup with its XUV.e8 which will be an electric version of the company’s flagship XUV 700 SUV. The XUV.e8 will sport a large 80-kWh battery pack, offering a range of more than 500 Km on a single charge. It will offer two electric motors offering a power output of up to 210 kW.
The EV will also have DC Fast Charging support and can charge from 0-80% in just 30 minutes. The upcoming XUV.e8 will offer several features from the XUV700 such as ADAS, LED Headlamps, new 18-inch Alloy Wheels and a Panoramic Sunroof. The EV will start at around Rs. 27 lakh in India and is set to launch in December 2024 in India.
2. Mahindra BE 05
Mahindra will also launch its new BE 05 electric car in India. The electric SUV from Mahindra will be positioned under the company’s new BE brand. The upcoming EV offers similar proportions to the Creta and Tata’s Avinya EV.
The new Mahindra BE 05 will be built on the company’s INGLO platform, offering two battery pack options from 60 kWh and an 80 kWh variant. The EV will offer an RWD electric motor producing 285 PS and an AWD dual motor setup making 394 PS. The new BE.05 will launch in October 2025, starting at Rs. 24 lakh (Ex-showroom) in India.
3. Mahindra XUV.e9
Mahindra’s upcoming XUV.e9 will offer a sportier, coupe-style design, offering an upgraded appeal from the XUV.e8. It will feature a longer wheelbase and additional luxury features. The XUV.e9 will offer 60 kWh and 80 kWh battery options with a range of 450 Km of range. The upcoming EV will offer DC fast-charging of up to 175 kW. The launch is set for April 2025 and will start at Rs. 38 lakh (Ex-showroom) in India.
